Rose McCauley has been one of my prayer partners since 2004.
At ICRS 2007, Cindy Woodsmall and I did a "ta-da" for Liz Curtis Higgs. Her expression is priceless!
Brainstorming is always great--more than just my head! Five Kansas authors had a brainstorming weekend...BEGINNINGS was born. (Deb Raney, Judy Miller, Patricia MacDonald, Deborah Vogts, and me)

My WRITING SPACE
I'm so fortunate to have a warm, comfort-able writing space, lovingly contructed by Daddy, where I can reflect and create.

An extra special event...
March 15, 2008, marked the 3rd anniversary of the signing of my 1st contract...as well as the release of my 10th book! I celebrated with a "My Heart Remembers" party attended by friends, family, writers, former and current church members... It was a day my heart will remember for the rest of my life.
What's a party without prizes? Drawings were held hourly for a gift bag with a hardcover book, mug, and other treats, or a mug containing either chocolate or specialty coffee.
The entire cast of helpers posed for a group pic when all was done, then we went out for supper together. I so appreciated their willingness to help me celebrate all God has done!
As everyone came in, they were directed to sign the guestbook and complete a drawing slip. This group of ladies came from the Greensburg Mennonite Church--I was so thrilled to see them!
The cakes were lovely (this is actually the second one--the first one was twice as big!), and I appreciated my helpers, who represented many stages in my life: a high school friend, a current friend, my sister-in-law, and a co-teacher.
Attendees gathered at decorated tables to eat cake, munch chocolate, and fellowship.
I enjoyed signing a book for one of the drawing winners.
My baby brother (he hates it when I call him that <g>) entertained us with musical selections.
My parents enjoyed poring over the scrapbook of publishing memories.
Of course, I enjoyed showing off my darling grandson during the party!
Hubby Don suited up for the event amidst complaints, but I'm pretty sure he had a good time after all. :o)
To be fair, foster daughter Anna drew names for me. A group of ladies from First Southern Baptist in Hutchinson listen for their names to be called.
Is there anything more precious than a baby's first smile? Granddaughter #1 is sooo darling!
Big Brothers are so proud of Baby Sister. :o)
What is it about kids and boxes? Grandson #4 grins from his new playing spot.
Grandson #5 has the brightest smile!
Trying to get 5 little boys to sit still...let alone smile!...for a picture is no mean feat! lol
Grandson #1...isn't he handsome?
What's more fun than stickers???
I love Grandson #2's ornery grin!
Three generations...what a blessing!
